sunny. in everyway, sunny.

at the request of a very good friend, one, erikka treatch, perhaps better known as lil' erikka, kikka, or lerikka, this was my weekend...

kmarsh, aunie, luke johnson and kaj peterson picked me up at panera afterwork...and thus began my fabulous weekend. it was such a great trip down...i've totally missed ultimate...in every way, and the trip to tournaments/long roadtrips/hanging out with people en route to them is def one of the things i've missed. it was so great. i've missed kmarsh and aunie so much and luke and kaj are cool...weird, but cool...adn we all had a good time. we listened to such good tunes, which makes or breaks a roadtrip for me. it was fantastic...i love music. the one bad thinga bout the drive down is taht when we stopped for them to eat, i was sitting there, and my shoulder, whihc has been jacked up since freshman year laundry bar back flip incident with kikka, was sore. so i started rubbing it...adn then all of a sudden it got SO tight and then the tightness spread to my entire upper right quarter of my back/shoulder/neck. and i couldn't move myhead. it was weird, painful and highly uncomfortable. but it started dying downa little...but still hurt way bad. but the ride was still fun...and like 3 hours from springfield...missouri...we stopped for gas and kelly and i were driving and shotty and the others fell asleep so kmarsh and i got to have a lot of long/really great talks...it was so great. and then at 2:30, BAM, we were in springfield adn erin adn tylie picked me up.

we got to joplin like right before 4 and went to eli's room. i went into his bedroom b/c his roommate asher said that he had just gone to bed so was still awake. and when i was trying to find the light switch, eli said he could see my sillouette and knew it was me...so wehn i finally got the light on, he was laying on his bed, holding his arms out for me to come hug him and was like 'suz, you sandbagger! you came! i knew you could! i believed in you!' It was fantastic. so we hung in eli's room for like an hour and then were too sleepy by 5 am so we went to bed. in the morning, eli came over to erin's to hang out with us between band practice adn more band practice. then he left for pratice again and erin, tylie, hallie and i went to lunch...which was a blasty. then erin and i went shopping/ran some errands/got me some icy hot and icy hot patches for my old man back.

it was like 70 adn sunny and freaking beautiful! i wore short sleeves and flip flops and rolled my jeans into capris and was dying the whole day. i seriously can't wait till spring. anyways,so then erin and i went to sonic to get a drink and then went to play in the park. :) when we went home to change, jeanette and pappy called and told us to come to the place where teh show was to hang out with them. eli adn them had to be there really early to set up so the spencers were just hanging out there, too and in the words of jeanette, 'wanted her two favorite girls to come and join them.' i freaking love the spencers. and then shiloh and eric got there shortly afterwards.

being with the spencers/harlans/erin is seriously like being with my family. you know that really great feeling you have when you just get back from being home...or anywhere with your family? that's how i feel about having hung out with them. i love them.

anyways, the show was really great. there were a ton of people there, they did really well. it was great. we all hung out at the place for a long time afterwards and then jeff, erin's bf, came back to eirn's with us and hung out for awhile before we went to bed.

we intended to go to church on sunday...especially since mynew found neck/shoulder/back injury would NOT allow me to play ultimate, so i didn't want to leave joplin earlier than neccessary, but we overslept. haha. got up, got ready, hung with the spencers and hallie in eli's room for a little bit and then erin and i went and picked up jeff b/c he rode with us to take me back to springfield.

side note: we stopped at starbucks for my daily caffine fix, and i decided on a whim to get a grande iced honey latte. based on teh logic that it was the first time that i have actually been in spring like weather, which is waht this drink must be enjoyed in, and it woudl be quite sometime before that was the case again, since i'm back in chicago. it was one of the best decisions i've ever made. get one.

anyways, the drive back was so great, also. i highly enjoyed it. it was just a good time.

i'm too sad that i couldn't play ultimate due to my weird shoulder thing. but i'm so thankful for the sun and warmth. winters here really wear on me. it was so good for my heart to experience sunshine. from the sun and from the presence of family...or what is practically family.

and i woke up to a really pleasant surprise. but i'd rather talk about that in person, and not on a blog. haha.
